The Greater Cleveland area is home to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Cavaliers, and 2,088,000 residents, in which 389,300 are part of the LGBTQ community! Like most large cities Cleveland has a large gay scene when you go to the right places!
There is a lot do in downtown Cleveland, but the two most popular areas to go are the Playhouse Square and The Flats! In the Flats along the waterfront you will find a lively nightlife, from live music, beer gardens, and clubs, to comedy and drag shows.
With the Playhouse Square between the JACK Cleveland Casino and Cleveland State University there are loads of place to dine and drink. If you're feeling tacos, queso, and guac, check out Barrio! If you want a nice juicy burger take a seat at just about any of the bars in the area, or do a bar crawl and hit them all! During the day you can relax and have a lovely lunch and watch the hustle and bustle of the city, or during the night you can be a part of the hustle and bustle of city.
Airport
(CLE) This city’s airport is Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. You will arrive about 15-30 minutes south-west of downtown Cleveland with 3 means of transportation: Taxi, car rental, or the metro. If you are driving you can quickly hop on I-71N and be on your way. If you take the metro you will walk a few minutes up to the Stokes / Windermere Red Line and get off at Tower City Center.
Beaches
The Greater Cleveland area has 2 main beaches that you can hit: the beautiful Edgewater Beach that is home to a lovely park if want to take a stroll, nets to play volleyball, an open bar to dine at, and Lake Erie itself!
Huntington Beach is a great family friendly beach and park to go to for a cookout, a picnic, a stroll through the Huntington Reservation, or tanning!
Public Transportation
In the greater Cleveland area there many means of public transportation, whether it be a public bus line, a train, or a taxi. Most of Cleveland however, runs off of the extensive public RTA bus line and would be your best bet for any means of public transportation as it can take you just about anywhere, just don't miss your bus.
