Buffalo

Buffalo is the second largest city in New York State (NYS), with lots to see and do, from sporting games in the fall and winter, to visiting Niagara Falls in the spring and summer. 

If you like beer and wings, Buffalo is the city for you, as there is an abundance of breweries and wing joints to try!

With the oldest state park in America just 40 minutes away from the Buffalo airport, you surely do not want to miss it. Niagara Falls consists of three waterfalls, with the world's highest flow rate. 

Elmwood Village; ranked one of the nicest neighborhoods in America, is one of the most charming neighborhoods in Buffalo. There are plenty of lovely cafes and bookstores. There are also plenty of charming boutiques to shop at as well as great food.

In winter, there are great ski resorts near Buffalo. These include but are not limited to: Bristol Mountain, Swain Resort, Buffalo Ski Center, Holiday Valley, HoliMont, Ellicottville, and Peek'n Peak.

The Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is located in Cheektowaga, New York. and is the third busiest airport in NYS. There are airport shuttle and taxi services with hotel transfers. It is also possible to obtain a shuttle from the airport to Niagara Falls. 

Buffalo is not a very walkable city. It has multiple bus lines and a small subway system that operates from the University of Buffalo campus to downtown. There are also taxis and ride-hail services, such as Uber and Lyft. Renting a car is likely the best option.

The Buffalo Bills is one of three NFL teams in NYS. They have the best fan-base, bringing together people from around the region. Fans travel near and far to support them, brightening-up every stadium they step foot onto. For those who enjoy a game of hockey, the Buffalo Sabres is the city's NHL team. Grab an ice-cold Labatt Blue beer and enjoy the action.
