Houston has a wonderful thriving scene with several areas to venture to. Not only is Houston one of the largest cities in Texas, but it also has one of the largest LGBTQ communities within it. Montrose is Houston's more predominant LGBTQ neighborhood. Located near midtown, this area has long been a favored area for the community for decades. The intersection of Westheimer and Taft was the first Rainbow Crosswalk to be installed in Texas.
Another wonderful area that is an ABSOLUTE area not to miss would have to be right on the banks of the Gulf of Mexico; Galveston! It is an hour drive from the heart of Houston, but this neighborhood on Seawall Blvd has several gay bars with the most outlandish drag shows along the Gulf! This side of town shows some beautiful scenery and amazing sunruses facing the east.
