San Antonio is full of Texas and American history, most famously known for the Battle of the Alamo. The city also has more modern areas to enjoy would such as River Walk with dozens of places to eat and drink with friends with the beautiful San Antonio River just a few feet from the tables setting a calm and tranquil scene.
The LGBTQ neighborhood is located near midtown is the district known as Tobin Hill. This posh area is full of LGBTQ friendly bars and restaurants lining N Main Ave. The city even has a Rainbow crosswalk at the cross section of N Main Ave and Evergreen Street. Most of the LGBTQ nightlife extends north and south of Main Ave into areas such as Ursuline and parts of Midtown. There is even a 3 story club, in an old historic spanish influenced building, with drag shows and dancing.
(SAT) San Antonio International Airport is located just north of the city center and is very conveniently situated. You can get to most places within the center is under 30 minutes via car or if you're in a pinch, you can take the Bus #5 from the terminal into town.
San Antonio has a system of buses mainly but also has the VIVA Centro which provides a tourist trolley of routes around downtown.
