Description
Economy Candy started as a shoe and hat repair shop with a candy cart outside. During the Depression, the candy cart became more profitable, leading to the transformation of the business into Economy Candy in 1937. After World War II, Morris “Moishe” Cohen and his brother-in-law took over and expanded the business to sell candy, chocolate, gift baskets, dried fruit, nuts, and more.
