Description
John’s of Bleecker Street, founded by Italian immigrant Giovanni “John” Sasso in the early 20th century, is a Greenwich Village institution known for its world-famous coal-fired brick oven pizza. Originally located on Sullivan Street, John’s moved to 278 Bleecker Street after losing its lease. The pizzeria has been family-owned and operated for generations, maintaining its traditional pizza-making methods and old-school ambiance. With original wooden booths, art deco floors, and a commitment to quality, John’s offers a taste of authentic, classic New York pizza.
