The Powerhouse Bar, a prominent South of Market establishment, stands out as the largest and most popular in its category. Renowned for setting the standard of no “attitude” and gritty, South of Market fun, it boasts cutting-edge music, an alluring atmosphere with no cologne, enticing videos, and an attractive crowd. Serving as a cornerstone in the men’s bar scene on Folsom Street in SOMA, it opened in 1997 and continues to define its unique style, welcoming diverse patrons.
